Week1A: My Blog Theme

       

    I actually had somewhat of a difficult time choosing what my blog theme would be. I tried my best to make it as "aesthetic" as possible since this is something that we will be using a lot throughout the whole semester and I want to be proud of it. I ended up starting with a template that I found pretty and that I thought flowed pretty well. Then, I chose a new font, color, and picture to go with it. 

    For my picture, I chose a picture of Carlsbad, specifically the flower fields (although I am not actually sure if you can see them with the way it positioned it). Growing up in Virginia, Carlsbad was always my family's go to vacation spot. My parents lived there before they had my brother and I so they wanted to go back ASAP. I fell in love with it too since we traveled there so often so I definitely wanted to live there as well. In October of 2021, my dad got a job offer in Carlsbad that he could not turn down, so we moved. Not only does the picture of Carlsbad represent one of my favorite places in the world, but it also represents the biggest life change I have ever gone through. Moving here also brought the best life changes I could have ever hoped for. 

    Lastly, I chose the color by going through the color wheel that it gives you and selecting the one that I thought went well with the picture. I also just found the color to be really pretty. I chose this font, Courier, because it sort of looks like a typewriter which I have always loved the look of.
