Week 12 Part A

 After this week's and last week's assignments, I have realized that using the Google for Business or Google My Business tools would most likely work really well for our business. The only downside though, is that since we are an online business, we do not actually have a location. I am not sure if this means that potential customers and listeners who search us up on Google would get very much information out of this platform or not. I definitely want to look into it further though and potentially use it. I would love to use Google Maps, however this would not make sense due to it being an online business. We do not use Yelp, but we do look at the comments of our YouTube videos and podcast episodes, and respond when they are commenting something kind. If they comment something hateful, we usually delete it or use it as more of constructive criticism (if that can be applied). We have considered using TikTok since it seems to be one of the most popular social media platforms nowadays. We have found though that our main audience age range is older than the main audience age range of TikTok users. There is a very specific way to curate videos on there to attract viewers, and I am not sure our business is catered to that.

    It sounds like you have a grasp on what tools work for your business and what don't. It also helps that you know the age of your target market! That is a huge barrier to overcome in having success with your marketing. So cheers to you and your business for that! I think having a yelp page couldn't hurt. Even though you are online, customers do look for reviews before buying something. I know I do!

  2. Hi Jessica, Yes it does not make sense to add your online business to Google Maps. However, there are many benefits to adding a store or physical presence to your business. Think about that. It does not need to be a material investment. I am sure your business will benefit from a customer segment that you may not have reached yet.
